Disobeying a Police Officer

PC-1-2

Description: Willfully refusing or failing to follow a lawful order, command, or direction issued by an identifiable peace officer. This charge applies when an individual disobeys police instructions during a lawful stop, detention, or public safety situation—not as a catch-all for non-compliance.

Disobeying a Police Officer is not something that you can just tack on to whoever doesn't listen to you. There needs to be a legal (or interest of life, death, or public safety) reason for you to charge someone with this infraction. You cannot just make up a law or reason, tell someone to do something, then arrest them for Disobeying when they refuse to comply.
